Why do you charge by the hour?

As a musician, producer, and sound engineer; I have always believed strongly in quality over quantity. Recording in a traditional recording studio can be painfully stressful. Sweating over small errors. Watching the clock race by as you search frantically for creative inspiration. Enough is enough. I believe in a collaborative, creative, iterative process that brings out your best.

Yes, it makes scheduling more difficult. But if we don’t like what we created we book another time and get back to work. All for one fixed price!

What makes Summit Stream Studio unique?

It’s a one-man show. This might sound like a disadvantage. It certainly is to an extent. Scheduling is difficult as my calendar can only accommodate so many sessions every week. However, we view it as a massive competitive advantage.

Where is Summit Stream Studio?

A basement in Dundas. As an accomplished touring guitarist, I have a true appreciation for a quality recording experience. That’s why I built Summit Stream Studio. It is welcoming, cozy, personal, and fully-equipped.

As a sound-proofed, acoustically pleasing space; Summit Stream Studio has big city equipment and resources combined with small-town privacy and charm.
